Shorter Safari Getaways Are Reshaping The Greater Kruger Stay

GREATER KRUGER, South Africa, August 2026, Bundox Safari Co. has added two packages to its new Wild Escapes collection, beginning with stays at Bundox Explorer Camp and Khanya Tented Camp.

The collection responds to travellers who want a proper Greater Kruger break without building an extended multi-property safari itinerary.

A Shorter Format for Safari Travel

Each Wild Escape is structured around a selected camp, a defined travel period and a minimum two-night stay.

The format gives guests enough time to arrive, slow down and settle into the camp environment while keeping the getaway practical for couples, friends and travellers adding the Greater Kruger to a wider South African journey.

Rather than presenting the packages as single overnight accommodation specials, Bundox has positioned them as short safari getaways that can stand alone or form part of a longer itinerary.

Two Camps Launch the Collection

The Bundox Explorer Camp Wild Escape is available for stays between 15 November 2026 and 28 February 2027.

The Khanya Tented Camp Wild Escape is available from 1 August 2026 until 28 February 2027.

The different travel periods give guests a clearer choice according to when they want to travel. Khanya is available from August, while the Explorer Camp getaway begins in November and continues through the summer travel period.

Short Stays Meet a Growing Travel Need

Travellers do not always have the time or need for a long safari circuit.

Some are planning a standalone bush getaway, while others want to include the Greater Kruger within a road trip, domestic holiday or broader Southern African itinerary.

Wild Escapes gives these travellers a defined package that is easier to compare, plan and include within the rest of their journey.

The format may also be useful to travel advisors arranging shorter safari extensions for clients with fixed dates or limited time in the region.

Current Special Rates for SADC Residents

Wild Escapes is a broader collection of short safari getaways and is not limited to one regional market.

The current introductory special rates, however, are available to qualifying residents of Southern African Development Community countries. Proof of residency may be requested when booking or checking in.
