Kgomotso Ndungane Joins Finfind As Cro To Champion Msme Access To Finance

From Oracle to Opportunity: Ndungane Returns to Tech to Champion MSME Access to Finance

Finfind, South Africa's leading fintech platform focused on providing access to finance for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), is proud to announce the appointment of Kgomotso Ndungane as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO).

A seasoned IT executive, entrepreneur, and well-known media personality, Ndungane brings a dynamic fusion of corporate experience, startup resilience, and brand influence to the Finfind leadership team at a critical time for the MSME sector.

"Kgomotso's appointment is a full-circle moment—not only for her, but for our company and the sector at large," says Darlene Menzies,  CEO of Finfind. "She has walked the entrepreneur's path, understands enterprise technology inside-out, and is uniquely positioned to help Finfind scale its commercial partnerships while staying grounded in the real-world needs of South Africa's small businesses."

While many know Ndungane from her successful ventures, such as Lelapa and Oak Celebrations, and her public role on Real Housewives of Durban, it is notable that her journey began in tech. With a B.Com in Information Systems from the University of Pretoria, she started her career as an Oracle Consultant in 2005, leading ERP implementations across sectors such as banking, telecoms, and government. She later served as Project Specialist in the office of the Group CEO at Adapt IT, a JSE-listed firm, helping to integrate acquisitions and drive growth strategies.

"Fintech isn't new to me—it's where I started," says Ndungane. "This appointment is more of a return than a reinvention."

After over a decade in corporate tech, she pivoted to entrepreneurship to balance family life and pursue passion-led businesses. She ran her brands successfully for six years, including a year in the public eye, before closing them post-COVID and taking a sabbatical to reset. That period rekindled her corporate ambitions and ultimately led her to Finfind.

Why Finfind? A Shared Mission for Impact

What drew Ndungane to Finfind was more than a role - it was alignment.

"Finfind and I share the same values. We both believe in the transformative power of MSMEs to solve South Africa's unemployment crisis, but we also know they can't do that without access to finance."

Finfind's mission is underpinned by powerful tech platforms that connect small businesses with over 300 funders and 600 finance products and is backed by data from 1.8 million MSMEs. Since its inception, the platform has facilitated over R200 billion in funding requests—solidifying its role as a key enabler of inclusive economic growth.

"This is more than just scaling a business—it's about implementing a change that we all want to see in the country. MSMEs employ over 13.4 million South Africans, yet they're systematically underfunded. Without intervention, our unemployment crisis will deepen. With Finfind, we have the tools to turn that around."

Ndungane believes her dual experience in the boardroom and in business trenches equips her to accelerate revenue growth while staying customer-focused.

"My corporate background gives me structure, systems thinking, and strategic insight. My entrepreneurial journey taught me agility, grit, and empathy. That combination is powerful and essential for this role."

As CRO, she'll build strategic partnerships with corporates, government, and financial institutions to drive revenue and deepen Finfind's impact footprint.

With a strong public brand and an engaged audience, Ndungane intends to use her platform to change the narrative around funding access.

"I want to shift the perception from 'funding is out of reach' to 'funding is possible'. Storytelling is one of our most powerful tools for financial inclusion - it makes the invisible, visible."

What keeps Ndungane grounded despite her many roles - mother, wife, entrepreneur, executive, public figure - is her family, her deep self-awareness, her passion for learning and her love of golf.

She's entering this new chapter with clarity, confidence, and the backing of a strong leadership team.

"Our CEO, Darlene Menzies, our staff, our partners- they've made this return seamless. I'm proud to stand alongside them, building a platform to unlock growth for entrepreneurs."

Ndungane's appointment signals Finfind's continued commitment to scaling inclusive access to capital, building powerful partnerships, and fuelling job creation through one of the economy's most vital sectors: MSMEs.

She's not just leading revenue - she's helping lead a movement.
